PLANTWISE: Plant Doctor Programme
Welcome to RADA.
The Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Agriculture & Lands. RADA was established under the Rural Agricultural Development Authority Act of 1990, replacing the Land Authorities Act and began its operation on August 1, 1990. It is Jamaica’s chief agricultural extension and rural development agency.
The agricultural sector has been tremendously affected by the passage of Tropical Storms Grace and Ida which took place on August 17th and from Wednesday, August 25th into Friday August 27, 2021 respectively.
A team from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MOAF), Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA), National Irrigation Commission (NIC), input suppliers and others led by Hon.
