On Friday, December 2, 2016, RADA through its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Peter Thompson, publicly endorsed the Nutrition and Physical Activity Competition led by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and IGL.

With the theme “Healthy Eating: Active Living” the general aim of the four months competition was to motivate and encourage youths to make healthy food choices and to be physically active. After a series of entries to include oral presentation, healthy lifestyle projects, Port Antonio High was highly commended for copping the 1st Place Award followed by Portland High and Mile Gully High respectively.

At the Award Ceremony RADA also participated through an impressive booth display (led by RADA Portland Parish team) which focused one the importance of consuming local produce while considering the National Food Based Dietary Guidelines along with food sampling/demonstrations.
