Farmer Training Graduation Ceremony

Featured Farmer Training Graduation Ceremony
The community of Frankfield has been marred with crime and violence which has been negatively affecting farm families and productivity within the area.

RADA in collaboration with Hi Pro and Family Life Equipping Network (from Kenya) commenced a seven week training beginning in August 2017 to which 91 farmers successfully participated.

The areas of training included:

  1. Conflict resolution
  2. Record Keeping
  3. Broiler Production Management

Participants were also given broilers courtesy of Hi Pro to assist in income generation.

The graduation ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the May Pen Baptist Church, Clarendon culminated this project and became a foundation for train the trainer and lifestyle changes based on knowledge gained.

Mr. Bertland Bates RADA Agricultural Extension Officer was also duly recognized by the farmers for outstanding and selfless service within the extension area.
