USDA Request for Application (RFA) for grant funding
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), has awarded ACDI/VOCA with a federal award to support the implementation of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food for Progress Jamaica Spices Project focused on achieving the following objectives:
- • To increase the productivity of high-quality Jamaican ginger, turmeric, and pimento by strengthening the capacity of farmers, producer organizations (POs), processors and other private sector entities, while improving the food security and climate resiliency of farmers.
- • To improve and expand the trade of ginger, turmeric, and pimento products by increasing their quality to meet international standards and connecting farmers and POs with Jamaican and international buyers.
