Job Purpose:

Under the direction of the Deputy Parish Agricultural Manager, the Extension Officer is responsible for all agricultural development programmes, within the prescribed extension area and for the supervision of Agricultural Assistants assigned to the area under his /her control.

S/he is also responsible for close liaison with the Parish Livestock and Marketing Officers, assisting them both with the identification of problems and the collection of data and information which will enable them to undertake their tasks more proficiently.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

• A.Sc. Degree in Agriculture
• Satisfactory Completion of Extension Orientation and Training Course;

Specify licensing or certification necessary for the job

• Basic Training in Extension  Work;
• Full Driving Licence
